In Miami-Dade County, a man who was 29 years old was killed by his own dog, which was mauled to death. The authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Alexander Andres Torres, a resident of Miami, was recognized as the victim by the Miami-Dade police department.
The event took place at a residence in Kendall, close to the 1200 block of Southwest 104th Terrace, just after 7 o’clock in the evening, according to the police.
During a wellness check, a friend of Torres’s discovered him dead in the garage of his home, according to the Miami-Dade police department. The friend reportedly hadn’t heard from Torres in quite some time.
Raisa Pereda, who lives in the neighborhood, shared with the news station Local 10 that she has had several encounters with the dog, but she has never experienced any problems with it in the past.
In spite of the fact that it is a large dog, she stated, “I never saw anything wrong with the dog.”
Loved ones gathered outside on Wednesday while a man was putting on a cleaning suit. Later, they were spotted investigating near the area where Torres was discovered.
Police are currently waiting for the medical examiner to arrive at a conclusion regarding the specific cause of death.
“This is a very unfortunate circumstance,” said Detective Andre Martin of the Maryland Department of Public Safety. “It does not matter what breed of dog it is.” Our sympathy go out to the family of the victim, as this is not the kind of situation that any pet owner would ever imagine they would find themselves in while they are in possession of a pet.
