Jennifer Taylor Almost Sold Her Home And Left Hollywood Prior To Landing Two And A Half Men

Landing Two and a Half Men was quite the journey for Jennifer Taylor. According to the actress, the family was on the verge of leaving Hollywood and heading back home to Florida, given the economic crash that took place in 2008.

Several productions in Hollywood were also stopped at the time, things were not looking good. However, one phone call changed everything for the actress.

She revealed alongside Fox News, "We were going to move back home to Florida because things were really hard out here," she said.

"We put our house up for sale, and then I'm like, 'All right, I'm going to go back to school.' I started studying again to finish my bachelor's and then, literally, seven days later, I got Chelsea."

Working on the sitcom was quite the experience for Taylor, who had already played three other characters on the show, including Suzanna, Nina and Tina. However, her run on the series completely changed when landing the role of Charlie's fiancée, Chelsea. In the new role, the actress would shoot 36 episodes on the series.

Despite the controversy attached to Charlie Sheen, Taylor squashed any type of controversy, claiming that her relationship with the actor on-set was normal, and quite fun.

She revealed, "He was a normal, fun, nice guy. When I was on it, the day-to-day experience was wonderful," she told Fox News Digital.

Taylor also mentions that she didn't pay attention to any of the gossip in tabloids at the time, surrounding Sheen and his off-set antics.

"I got along with Charlie really, really well. He did his job. He's very good at it. I also kind of had blinders on a little bit because I had two small children. I was finishing my bachelor's degree at the same time. I came to work, and I came home."

She continued, "I don't follow tabloids or anything," Taylor added. "So I didn't really know until things started going a little haywire."

Looking back, it was a valuable experience for Taylor and one that would teach her a lot about the industry.

"I just look back on it with nothing but fond memories," Taylor added. "I learned so much by watching them every day. I was just like, ‘Am I really getting to work with these people?’ I kept on waiting for them to figure out that I shouldn't be there."

Jennifer Taylor Is Keeping Active In Hollywood These Days

Two and a Half Men served as launching pad for Taylor's career, as she worked several gigs since appearing on the show. However, the actress is looking to play meaningful and positive roles these days, for the sake of her children.

"As I have gotten older and have kids and think about the mark that I'm leaving now, I want some of the things that I do to mean something," she said.

"Any acting job is a miracle and a blessing in itself, and I'm thrilled for that. But if it's something where I get to share my faith, that might help somebody down the road. There's just so much dark stuff on, and I think people are craving things that offer them something more."

Along the lines of positivity includes her newest series, Saved By Grace. With a plot about angels and God, Taylor is taking on a project she is most comfortable with at this point in her career.
